Firefighters extinguish a fire in a palm tree in Puerto Calero

Firefighters from the Security and Emergency Consortium extinguished a fire in a palm tree in Puerto Calero in the early hours of this Saturday.

After being alerted by the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands at approximately 02:55 hours, the firefighters went to the scene of the fire, verifying that the palm tree was burning in its upper part.

The firefighters then proceeded to extinguish the fire with water, bringing the service to an end. Local Police also attended the scene.
