Firefighters from the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium have smothered a fire in the kitchen of a hotel in Lanzarote.
The events took place on Friday morning, when firefighters had to move to the Hotel Nature Palace in Playa Blanca, in the municipality of Yaiza.
Alerted by the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security (CECOES), they moved to the area, where the Local Police, the Civil Guard and an ambulance from the Canary Islands Emergency Service were present.
Upon arrival at the tourist establishment, they verified that it was a fryer fire. The hotel employees themselves had used several fire extinguishers to reduce the size of the flames.
Thus, they have proceeded to completely extinguish the fire and ventilate the area.
