A driver was injured in a traffic accident that occurred early Wednesday morning on the LZ-30 road, near Masdache, in the municipality of San Bartolomé.
The incident, which involved two vehicles, occurred around 03:41. According to the Lanzarote and La Graciosa Security and Emergency Consortium, the Teguise Local Police requested the intervention of firefighters to carry out road cleaning due to the presence of numerous plastic and glass debris on the roadway.
Upon arrival, personnel confirmed that both vehicles involved in the accident were occupying part of the road, hindering traffic. Canary Islands Emergency Services (SUC) personnel attended to those involved and proceeded to transfer one of the drivers to Molina Orosa, while the second left the scene under their own power.
Once the large amount of debris scattered on the asphalt was removed, firefighters disconnected the batteries of both vehicles as a precautionary measure and collaborated with tow services in the removal of the damaged cars.
After completing the cleaning and securing of the area, the road was reopened to traffic. Personnel from the Security and Emergency Consortium, the Teguise Local Police, and the Canary Islands Emergency Services participated in the operation.
