Two agents of the Fiscal and Border Patrol (PAFIF) of the Civil Guard of Costa Teguise managed to save the life of a neighbor who suffered a heart attack in the middle of the street on Avenida del Mar in the coastal town of Teguise, heading towards Arrecife last Friday.
The two policemen were patrolling the road when one of them noticed that there was a woman with a strange expression on her face and that she was putting her hand to her chest. The policeman alerted his partner, who turned the car around. When they arrived at the place, he grabbed her to prevent the young woman from falling and both agents alerted the ambulance.
Initially, it seemed to be an anxiety attack, but after being transferred to Molina Orosa they discovered that she was suffering a heart attack. The woman finally had to undergo surgery. "Without his help, she might not have been so lucky," said the owner of the store where the woman worked.
