Members of the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium intervened this Friday, January 9, in a fire that broke out in a vehicle traveling on the LZ-2 road, near the Mácher roundabout.
The alert was received through the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES), which reported a car emitting a significant amount of smoke. Firefighters quickly responded to the scene and, upon arrival, proceeded to cool the engine with water and disconnect the vehicle's battery as a safety measure.
Once the situation was under control and it was confirmed that the car posed no risk, it was allowed to be towed away by a crane. The incident concluded without injuries
