A young man was arrested by agents of the National Police, accused of having broken into his parents' house and violently beaten his father, according to a press release from the Arrecife Local Police Station.
The detainee was identified as Francisco Javier M. T., a native of Arrecife, 33 years of age, who, according to the police report, entered his parents' home, taking advantage of the fact that the door was open, being surprised by his mother while rummaging in search of money, it is assumed. When his father arrived immediately afterwards, he violently hit him against a wall, and from his pants pocket he stole 50 euros.
The young man was arrested by officers of the Local Citizen Security Brigade. After his identification, it was found that he had ten previous arrests, for crimes against property and judicial claims.
To the knife for a bottle
On the other hand, a man took out a knife and threatened to kill the security guard of a supermarket in Arrecife, after the latter demanded that he return a bottle that he had taken from a display case and had passed through the checkout without paying.
The alleged aggressor and his companion were arrested by police officers and identified as James Alexandre Z. G., 19 years old, and Jorge Andrés V., 20 years old, both natives of Colombia.
The latter has three previous arrests, for robbery with force, mistreatment and violation of the Immigration Law.
Arrested while stealing cables
In addition, National Police officers arrested a 31-year-old man at the precise moment when he was leaving the interior of a commercial premises in Arrecife carrying a roll of cable, after having forced a window to enter the building. The security agents had appeared at that store, on Tarragona Street, after its alarm began to sound. After arresting the young man, they carried out a search, finding in his possession a camera and an MP3, which were recognized as his by the owner of the establishment.
The detainee is Antonio R. M., a native of Algeciras, 31 years of age, who has 16 previous arrests, all of them for crimes against property. The last of them was last February.
