Firefighters from the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium intervened on the night of this past Friday, December 5, around 9:30 p.m., to rescue a baby who had been locked inside a vehicle at José Molina street, number 7, in the parking lot of the Bulevard Center in Arrecife.
The alert was received through the Canary Islands Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) 1-1-2, which reported that the car had accidentally locked with the minor inside.
Upon arrival, firefighters proceeded to open the vehicle using a specific tool and managed to quickly access the interior. The baby was calm and in good condition, with no need for medical assistance
The Arrecife Local Police were also present at the operation, collaborating in the control of the situation.
