Agents of the Local Police of Tías arrested this morning Ahmed El A., of Moroccan nationality and 38 years of age, for an alleged crime of damage and misdemeanor against public order using a large knife, committed in the tourist area of Puerto del Carmen, in Lanzarote.

The agents were required by a telephone call made to the Headquarters of the Corps, in which they were informed of the presence of a "crazed individual" carrying a knife in his hands, and intimidated and threatened everyone who was in his path, while causing damage to the furniture of a nightclub.

At the time of the public force's intervention, the detainee was still brandishing the knife, so the agents had to reduce him. The report explains that the individual began to act like this after being denied entry to one of the premises. When this happened, he went to his vehicle, parked nearby, and returned carrying the knife with which he tried to attack the business's employees.
