National Police agents arrested a week ago a man for a drug trafficking crime. The events occurred on June 25 in Arrecife, when the detainee was surprised while driving erratically invading the lateral lane and putting at risk the rest of the users of the road, while using his mobile phone.
The agents proceeded to stop him taking the corresponding security measures, verifying that the arrested person showed a high state of nervousness which made the authorities suspect.
After the inspection of the interior of the vehicle, the agents located seven “bricks” of cocaine, with a total weight of 7.5 kilograms.
Once the police proceedings were completed, the detainee was brought before the competent judicial authority, who ordered his immediate imprisonment.
