Firefighters from the Security and Emergency Consortium of Lanzarote were alerted in the early morning of this Monday of the fire of an unfinished and occupied house in Playa Blanca. At around 03:00 in the morning, the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) mobilized an Emergency device to Austria Street.
Upon arrival, agents of the Local Police and the Civil Guard were securing the area and providing firefighters with the location and access to the fire site.
According to the Security and Emergency Consortium, it was a fire in a room that had a wooden roof inside an occupied house. They proceeded to extinguish it by applying water and foam.
Thus, they verified that there is no risk of re-ignition, so they ended the service and returned to the base. An ambulance with basic life support from the Canary Islands Emergency Service also attended the scene.
