National Police agents have arrested a 19-year-old young man at the Lanzarote-César Manrique airport as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of document forgery.

The events unfolded when the staff of an airline operating a flight to Dublin at the Lanzarote-César Manrique airport notified police officers, as a man had identified himself with an Italian identity card showing signs of being false.

The agents were able to verify that the Italian documentation exhibited was false, so he was arrested as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of document forgery.

Among his belongings, an Albanian passport was found, which finally revealed the real identity of the arrested man.

After drawing up the corresponding police report, the detainee was placed at the disposal of the competent Judicial Authority. The police intervention was carried out by agents of the Arrecife Police Station.
