A young man was affected by smoke inhalation and transferred to a health center as a result of the fire that occurred on Saturday night in a house located on Islandia Street in Playa Blanca. The affected person managed to leave the house through a window by jumping into the street.
The fire took place around 9:00 p.m., when the CECOES was alerted. The Emergency Consortium, the Local Police and an ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service went to the scene.
The fire was located in the kitchen on the ground floor of the duplex and affected the furniture that is in the upper part of the ceramic hob. The smoke also affected the rest of the house, including the upper floor, but to a lesser extent.
When the firefighters arrived, the fire was already extinguished. The troops cut off the power and proceeded to ventilate the entire house.
