National Police agents arrested in Lanzarote a 29-year-old woman with no police record, as the alleged perpetrator of a drug trafficking crime. The detainee was intercepted on a flight from Madrid. She was carrying 225 grams of cocaine in her bag.
Specialized agents of the National Police carry out periodic checks on hot flights (flights used as a habitual route by "mules" who try to introduce drugs) upon arrival at the César Manrique Airport in Lanzarote.
In one of them, from Madrid, the investigators identified a 29-year-old woman. Upon arrival at the airport, she showed obvious signs of nervousness, immediately going to one of the toilets. Upon leaving, she was intercepted by the police officers and accompanied to police premises. Once there, a package containing 225 grams of cocaine was found in her bag. For this reason, she was arrested as the alleged perpetrator of a drug trafficking crime.
Once the proceedings were completed, she was placed at the disposal of the competent Judicial Authority, who ordered her imprisonment.
