A woman, around 20 years old, was seriously injured after suffering a traffic accident in Puerto del Carmen, when her vehicle left the road and crashed into another parked car. Her companion, a 37-year-old man according to the Local Police of Tías, was also injured with less serious injuries.
The events occurred around 02:25 am this Tuesday, on Achagua street in Puerto del Carmen, when a vehicle left the road, "for unknown reasons", colliding with another parked vehicle, according to reports from the Local Police of Tías. Subsequently, the vehicle crashed into the wall of a house and overturned, becoming embedded in the garage.
According to the Canary Emergency Service, firefighters had to rescue the injured, after being trapped inside the vehicle. Both were transferred to the Doctor José Molina Orosa Hospital.
For its part, the Local Police of Tías continues to investigate the causes that may have caused the accident, to continue and finalize the instruction of the corresponding procedures and make them available to the court.
