A woman of 38 years old gave birth to her son in the parking lot of the César Manrique Airport during the early hours of this past Thursday. The Emergency Coordinating Center (CECOES) reported that they received the warning call at 3:55 in the morning, when the baby had already been born, at that moment his crying could be heard through the telephone.
After receiving the call, CECOES activated two ambulances, one for first assistance and another medicalized. The objective was to expedite the transfer of the mother and her son to the Doctor Molina Orosa hospital. First, the basic ambulance arrived and provided first assistance. After that, they stayed at an intermediate point so that the patient could be transferred to the medicalized ambulance.
Both the mother and the newborn are in good health.
