A woman died and a minor was slightly injured after a vehicle overturned in Lanzarote, on the LZ-2 near the crusher bridge, in the municipality of Tías, according to the press service of the Coordinating Center for Security and Emergencies of the Government of the Canary Islands (Cecoes) 112.
The incident, which occurred at approximately 3:35 p.m., caused the death of a 62-year-old woman and minor injuries to a 12-year-old, who suffered multiple contusions and was transferred in an advanced life support ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service (SUC) to the Doctor José Molina Orosa hospital.
At this time, an alert was registered at the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security, reporting that a vehicle had overturned and its occupants required medical assistance. The 112 activated the appropriate emergency services, and firefighters had to free the occupants of the vehicle, as they had been trapped.
Upon arrival at the scene, SUC medical personnel assisted and stabilized the minor for transfer to the aforementioned hospital center and could only confirm the death of the adult woman without being able to do anything to save her life.
