A palm tree falls next to a terrace on the Playa Honda promenade

A palm tree has broken clean off and fallen to the ground on the Playa Honda promenade. The strong wind that is blowing on the island could have been the cause of the rupture of the tree trunk, although the Local Police point out to La Voz "that it could be sick and the wind accelerated the collapse." Fortunately, it hasn't caught anyone.

The event took place at around 5:00 p.m. and local police from San Bartolomé, who took charge of the incident, have moved to the scene.
