The Civil Guard of Tías arrested two men last Thursday, the 10th, one of them accused of a continuing crime of robbery with force and the other of an alleged crime of receiving stolen goods. The arrested are F.B. and M.I.A., both natives of Morocco.
The arrests occurred after the steps taken by the agents, both from the Civil Guard and the Local Police of Tías. Thus, they discovered that one of the detainees could be involved in several robberies committed in shopping centers in Puerto del Carmen and were alerted that the stolen objects could be stored in his home in Tías.
In addition, they learned that part of these stolen objects could be hidden in a warehouse-house under construction where the second of the detainees resided. Thus, after requesting the corresponding judicial permission, they proceeded to enter and search both properties and recovered numerous objects allegedly stolen by these two arrested.
Specifically, they found industrial hospitality machinery, computers, photocopiers, as well as a disassembled moped. Some of these objects were recognized by several businessmen from premises that had been victims of robberies and who had filed the corresponding complaint. After the instruction of the appropriate procedures, the detainees were placed at the disposal of the Judicial Authority.
