The Civil Guard of Lanzarote has arrested a man accused of industrial piracy in a premises of a Shopping Center of Puerto del Carmen, as reported through a statement. The value of the objects would reach a market value of 1,301 euros, approximately.
The arrest was carried out this Monday by agents from the Tías investigation area, who located in the exhibitors of an establishment several electronic articles that were, apparently, false.
Therefore, the agents searched the premises and required the presence of the owner, who finally acknowledged that the objects that were for sale were pirated. Thus, the civil guards seized the counterfeit goods and seized four photo cameras and two video cameras of the Fujioptcs brand, two Nintendo DS cases, eight cartridges of multi-games of this same console with 1,129 applications and six boxes of games.
For such acts, the owner was arrested, accused of a crime against Industrial and Intellectual Property. After testifying, he was released.
