A 40-year-old man died last Friday after suffering a cardiorespiratory arrest in the Tahíche Municipal Pavilion, located on Alberti Street in the municipality of Teguise.
At 18:20 hours a call alerted the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security (Cecoes) that a person had suffered a fainting spell while playing sports. The Canary Emergency Service (SUC) immediately activated emergency resources. A basic life support ambulance and an advanced life support ambulance were transferred to the scene of the incident to attend to the affected person.
Upon arrival, medical personnel found that the man was unresponsive to stimuli and was in cardiorespiratory arrest. Despite basic and advanced resuscitation maneuvers, they could only confirm his death.
