A man and two women arrested when they were going to squat a house in Arrecife

The operation was carried out by the Citizen Attention Operative Group of the Local Police in the early hours of January 8.

The Local Police of Arrecife, specifically agents of the Citizen Attention Operative Group (GOAC), arrested three individuals who had illegally accessed a home in a central neighborhood of the capital of Lanzarote in the early hours of January 8.

According to the Local Police, the information provided by the witnesses would allow the arrest of the individuals when they tried to return to the scene, as they would be surprised in a vehicle by a second police unit.

As noted in the proceedings of the Local Police, the witnesses played a crucial role in providing data that led to the identification and arrest of a man of 31 years, and two women - one of 29 years and another of 25 years-.

Citizen collaboration was decisive in supporting the efforts of the Local Police of Arrecife, by corroborating the participation of the identified and occupants of the car, as involved in the illegal access to the house.

From the Council they point out that "this new action proves that the Local Police of Arrecife responds quickly and effectively, demonstrating its commitment to citizen security and its willingness to meet the demands of citizens in the face of criminal situations observed in the capital of Lanzarote."

Finally, they remember that the Arrecife Local Police force has been equipped with new vehicles, means and systems, which allows to offer a greater and better attention to the citizens, and to the visitors.
