A man affected by smoke inhalation evacuated to the hospital in the fire of a premises in Costa Teguise

Local Police, Civil Guard, the Emergency Consortium and an ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service have been dispatched to the scene.

Fire in a Costa Teguise business

A 72-year-old man has had to be evacuated to the Molina Orosa hospital due to moderate poisoning after inhaling smoke in the fire of a premises in Costa Teguise, as reported by CECOES.

The fire took place at approximately 5:40 p.m. this Thursday in the lower part of an aparthotel on Las Adelfas street in the tourist town. Local Police, Civil Guard, the Emergency Consortium and a basic life support ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service have been dispatched to the scene.

Firefighters have extinguished the flames and ventilated the building. The health personnel assisted the affected person and transferred him to Molina Orosa.

The Civil Guard agents have instructed the corresponding proceedings.
