Firefighters from Bizkaia had to move this past Sunday afternoon to the Bilbao Airport of Loui after receiving the alert of a plane that was suffering a technical problem.
Alerted that there was smoke coming from the plane of the company Air Europa, coming from Lanzarote, firefighters from the Bizkaia park went to the place at 3:30 p.m. (peninsular time) to support the units that are permanently in the Basque airport. This was reported on social networks.
Also, according to the information published by El Correo, the Bilbao Airport had to declare a pre-alert situation due to this warning. However, finally, the flight was able to land about 26 minutes later than planned, around 4:30 p.m.
Apparently it was a failure in the flaps, surfaces that are on the wings of the plane and allow to reduce the speed of the same during takeoff and landing. The incident did not affect the rest of the flights of the Biscayan aerodrome, according to the newspaper Naiz.
Finally, the pilot circled around the airspace of Loiu and the flight AEA7029 managed to land safely.
