The Civil Guard of Tías arrested on the 24th a person of Spanish nationality, with initials E.J.P.S, as the alleged perpetrator of a theft crime, two other robberies with force and a petty theft inside several tourist complexes in Puerto del Carmen. The events occurred during the early morning of the 24th, when the Civil Guard was alerted by the alleged commission of several robbery crimes in a hotel complex.
Once at the scene and based on the statement of several witnesses who provided a physical description of the alleged perpetrator, the agents initiated a search device to arrest him. Moments later, the alleged perpetrator, E.J.P.S., was arrested by the Civil Guard in the town of Arrecife, where he had traveled in a taxi from Puerto del Carmen.
At the time of the arrest, E.J.P.S., was carrying "several effects from several robberies committed that morning", according to the Civil Guard. The agents verified that this person had allegedly stolen from a total of three hotels in the aforementioned town. Therefore, the Civil Guard proceeded to arrest this person for four crimes of robbery with force in things and theft crimes.
Among the recovered effects include a laptop tablet, a mobile phone, several watches, two silver cufflinks, as well as several wallets with cash inside. All objects were returned to their legitimate owners. The detainee has been placed at the disposal of the Court in charge of Arrecife.
