A 50-year-old woman in Puerto del Carmen recovers from cardiorespiratory arrest

A 50-year-old woman was recovered this Wednesday from a cardiorespiratory arrest, although they have been admitted to the Molina Orosa Hospital in serious condition. The event took place shortly before 3:30 p.m. on Avenida de las Playas in Puerto del Carmen, where the woman fainted while on public roads.

A basic life support ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service was dispatched to the scene, whose personnel verified that the woman was in cardiorespiratory arrest. Therefore, since it was not a medicalized ambulance, they had to notify the coordinating doctor on duty of the SUC in the 112 operating room of the situation.

While the basic ambulance personnel began to perform resuscitation maneuvers with a "semi-automatic" defibrillator, the coordinating doctor of the SUC activated the medical team of the local office in the area, who moved to the scene of the incident with the collaboration of the Local Police of Tías.

Finally, according to reports from Cecoes, it was possible to reverse the cardiorespiratory arrest and the affected woman, accompanied by the medical team from the local office, was transferred in the basic life support ambulance to the hospital, where she was admitted in serious condition.
