A 15-year-old boy had to be rescued after accidentally falling down a cliff area between La Arena beach and the Castillo de San José in Arrecife, according to the Local Police.
After the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security (CECOES) was alerted, agents from the Local Police, the Emergency Consortium and a medicalized ambulance from the Canary Islands Emergency Service were dispatched to the area.
Once at the scene, the emergency teams moved to where he was, placed him on the stretcher and then made a surface anchor to carry out the rescue safely. The injured person has a cranial trauma, of a moderate nature, according to CECOES.
Once up, he was taken on a stretcher to the ambulance to evacuate him to the Doctor José Molina Orosa hospital.
