National Police agents in Arrecife have arrested a 60-year-old man with no police record as the alleged perpetrator of a drug trafficking crime.
Recently, the National Police became aware through various neighborhood complaints of a possible drug sales point in the capital of Lanzarote. The police investigation revealed that the defendant, a 60-year-old man, was selling what ultimately turned out to be cocaine, which he was carrying hidden in his genitals, on public roads.
At the time of his arrest as the alleged perpetrator of a drug trafficking crime, 19 packets containing cocaine and prepared for sale were seized from him. With the mandatory judicial order and with the collaboration of the Canine Unit of the Local Police of Arrecife, a search was carried out at his home, in which 511 grams of cocaine and 104,563 euros in cash were seized, hidden in various rooms of the house.
