A 24-year-old woman was rescued this Tuesday at noon in a helicopter of the Emergency and Security Group (GES) on the Pedro Barba trail, on the island of La Graciosa. According to the Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security (CECOES)-112, the woman had a trauma to her ankle, so she has been transferred to the Molina Orosa hospital.
The woman, who apparently suffered a fall while hiking, at the scene of the incident "has been assisted and immobilized by the staff of an ambulance of the SUC, based in Islote", have reported from the CECOES-112. Then, she was transferred by helicopter to the airport of Lanzarote and, subsequently, in a basic life support ambulance of the SUC, to the hospital center of the island.
Local Police officers have also been involved in the rescue.
