A group of 14 irregular immigrants were arrested on the morning of last Sunday in the north of Lanzarote, after arriving on the island aboard a boat, according to police sources.
The immigrants were traveling in a boat that reached the beach of La Garita, in the municipality of Haría, around 05:00 hours, and once on land, they dispersed around the area.
A fisherman who was in the area saw them and alerted the security forces to their presence, who began a search of the area.
The agents arrested eleven of the immigrants in the early hours of the morning and the other three hours later. One of them had to be admitted to the General Hospital due to his poor health, while the rest were placed at the disposal of the National Police, who will process their expulsion to their country of origin.
