The extraordinary reception from the public of Lanzarote, who sold out tickets in a few minutes for the Valeria Castro concert scheduled for Thursday, October 2, has led the Culture Area of the Cabildo to schedule a second date with the singer-songwriter from La Palma. The new concert will take place on Wednesday, October 1 at 8:00 p.m. at the Víctor Fernández Gopar “El Salinero” Theater.

The Culture Councilor of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, Jesús Machín Tavío, pointed out that “the great demand to see Valeria Castro demonstrates not only the island's affection for this artist, but also the hunger for culture that exists in Lanzarote. That is why we have made an effort to add a second performance, counting on the generosity of the singer herself, who has not hesitated to respond to the people of Lanzarote with this gesture.”

Tickets, priced at 30 euros, will be available from 09:00 on Friday, September 26 through the website www.culturalanzarote.com and the Cultura Lanzarote mobile application.

A Canary voice on the international scene

Valeria Castro's return to Lanzarote is part of her international tour presenting El cuerpo después de todo, her second album. The author of songs such as Cuídate, La raíz or Sentimentalmente will offer on the island an intimate and delicate repertoire, in which tradition and contemporary sensibility meet in one of the most outstanding voices of current Canarian music.

The author from La Palma has established herself as one of the most delicate and promising voices in current music. She has received three consecutive nominations at the Latin Grammys. In 2024 she obtained it in the category of best singer-songwriter song for La raíz —composed in homage to La Palma after the eruption of Tajogaite—; In 2024, for the song "La Ceniza", together with Ale Acosta from Lanzarote, in the Best Electronic Music Performance category; This year she has achieved the nomination for Best Singer-Songwriter Album, for her second work, “El cuerpo después de todo.”

In addition, she has also received the award for best song of the year at the Canarios de la Música Awards and was nominated for the 2024 Goya Awards together with the group Vetusta Morla.
