Tías Youth Summer

The Tías City Council has organized a program of free activities planned for the end of August and aimed, for the most part, at the youngest residents of the municipality. From August 20 to 29, different workshops and events will be held in Tegoyo and Puerto del Carmen with the requirement of following covid-19 security measures.

There will be paddle surfing days, jolatero rides, canarian ball tournaments, games and workshops in the exteriors of the Tegoyo hostel. The Departments of Youth and Culture, managed by Christopher Notario and Pepa González, have promoted these activities to boost the residents of Tías.

Thus, the program includes two days of paddle surfing from the Playa Chica dock on August 22 and 29 in the morning. This activity is aimed at young people from 12 to 20 years old residing in the municipality. Registration is required by phone calling 928 833 619 extension 2208.

There will also be two days, August 21 and 27, of a maritime ride in jolatero through the Playa Grande area from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. There is no age restriction in this activity, but the groups will also be small. Registration will be done on the same day at the beginning of Playa Grande.

The Tegoyo picnic area will host on August 20 and 28, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., a canarian ball tournament, games and workshops for ages between 6 and 13 years, with prior registration.

All activities are free and are intended for residents of the municipality.
