The Tías City Council has thanked the associations, dance and art schools, Sur Caliente samba school, MG events and the general public for the success of the Tías Halloween celebration. "One more year it exceeded all public expectations," the council revealed in a statement. The population came to Leandro Fajardo Square in Tías and El Fondeadero, Puerto del Carmen.
The government group expresses its gratitude to the Burgaos, Lanzactiva, Cávea Cómica Teatro, MG events, Comparsa Sur Caliente, Beatriz Senent and Anmy Rodríguez dance schools, the team of the Alternating Employment Training Plan (PFAE) Dinamiza Tías and the attending public.
The mayor, José Juan Cruz, and the Councilor for Culture, Pepa González, celebrate the success of the various activities held this weekend, such as workshops, music, parades, magic shows and the house of fear, "which brought together a multitude of residents in Tías and Puerto del Carmen."
According to Pepa González, "thanks to the participation of the student-workers of the PFAE Dinamiza Tías, the little ones were able to paint their faces, create terrifying outfits and make trick-or-treat bags. In addition, we held the costume contest with replicated material costumes with karaoke microphone prizes for children and tablets for youth."
The Halloween party is organized within a broad program of celebration of our Finaos festival which, together with the different activities to honor the Day of the Dead, is orchestrated from the Culture area of the Tías City Council.
The celebration began the week of October 23 with the visit of the students of the PFAE Dinamiza Tías to the different schools and institutes of the municipality for the dissemination of "The Games of La Santa", to continue with the celebration of Halloween and continue with storytelling, Day of Finaos this week, folk concert and celebration of the Eucharist.
The government group wishes to extend its gratitude to the Local Police of Tías, Civil Protection, Boluntis (Volunteer Firefighters of Tías), the cleaning teams, and all those who have cooperated in the organization and celebration of Halloween.
