The new film by Pedro Almodóvar, shot between Lanzarote and Madrid, already has an official poster. This past Tuesday, February 3, the poster for Amarga Navidad, a film by the renowned Spanish film director and screenwriter, was made public.The film, which will premiere in theaters on March 20, features a top-tier cast, including Bárbara Lennie, Leonardo Sbaraglia, Aitana Sánchez-Gijón, Victoria Luengo, Patrick Criado, Milena Smit, and Quim Gutiérrez. In addition, the artist behind this cover is Javier Jaén.
Some of the locations that the filmmaker has chosen for this production have been the Charco de los Clícos, in El Golfo (Yaiza) and La Geria. Specifically, the recordings took place between the months of July and August
Bitter Christmas is produced by Agustín Almodóvar, the filmmaker's brother, through the production company El Deseo, as well as written and directed by Pedro Almodóvar.
The filming had the participation of numerous extras from Lanzarote, with ages ranging from seven to 75 years old.
It is not the first time that Almodóvar has filmed in Lanzarote, he already did it in his film *Broken Embraces* (2009), starring Penélope Cruz and Lluís Homar.
