The Democracy Society celebrates its 54th anniversary throughout this month of October with a series of events that began this Thursday, with the inauguration of the exhibition 'Window to the Past'. It is composed of several objects that were part of daily life in the past, which have been provided by various collaborators.
Radios, sewing machines, movie cameras, projectors, telephones or demijohns are some of the objects that can be seen, until October 24, in this exhibition.
The president of the Democracy Society, Juan Carlos Alonso, was in charge of presenting the opening ceremony, in which he was very excited "by the reception of the members and individuals" who attended the event, also thanking the collaboration of the people who "kindly have given these museum pieces", thus being able to carry out the exhibition.
Once the president's inaugural speech was concluded, the attending public commented among themselves "the memories that the pieces exhibited there brought to their minds." The event ended with the performance of the local singer Daniel Moisés. The musician, following the line of inspiration of the exhibition, prepared a varied musical range with "songs inspired by the 60s and 70s", which were very chanted and applauded by the public.
The exhibition, which will remain open until the 24th of this month, can be visited in the morning and afternoon.
