Alexis Lemes and Javier Infante Concert at the Timple House Museum

The Timple House-Museum of Teguise reopened its doors on Thursday night to enjoy the acoustic concert by Alexis Lemes and Javier Infante.

The performance took place with a capacity limited to only 20 people, respecting the security measures in force due to Covid, although it could also be followed live through social networks.

The duo formed by the timple player Alexis Lemes and the guitarist Javier Infante pleasantly surprised the public with a totally unpublished repertoire, with self-created themes such as 'Bentaiga', 'Jameos', 'Malpeis, 'Tanganillo', Blue Planet', 'Seguidillas' or the 'Danza del Bereber'. among others

Alexis Lemes is a totally self-taught instrumentalist, who began his career based on the tradition of Canarian folklore. He currently has two albums with his own creations. As for Javier Infante, he has a degree in guitar from the Higher Conservatory of Music of the Canary Islands and also has a Master's degree in jazz and modern music, which has allowed him to perform with great names in the world of music as a guest.

On Thursday night, Alexis Lemes and Javier Infante achieved their goal with their music, which is an opening to a personal language, with an aesthetic very close to contemporary music, jazz and island root music. Lemes and Infante ended the concert thanking the public for their presence, who at all times supported them with their applause.

The next event at the Timple House Museum in Teguise will be on Thursday, November 19, with Ayoze Rodríguez.
