The Santo Domingo Convent hosts the 'Elysián' concert

The Lanzarote group made the audience enjoy themselves, who gave themselves from the first song

The Lanzarote group 'Elysian' surprised last Friday night with a magnificent concert held at the Santo Domingo Convent. An event that is part of the program of the Casa-Museo del Timple de Teguise.

'Elysian' was created in 2017 and is directed by the musical professor and arranger Ivanhoe Rodríguez and since its formation every time it takes the stage it surprises with its very changing staging in the number of components and musical repertoire.

For Friday night 'Elysian' was formed by Acorán Ramos on bass, Genaro Pérez on percussion, Fran Mauri on piano, Israel López, Almudena Hernández and Montse Medina as solo voices under the direction of Ivanhoe Rodríguez on guitar. The group is increasingly required to perform at parties, receptions and events, displaying in each of them a wide range of songs, reviewing different musical genres ranging from the song with Canarian roots with the odd nod to the South American genre or the author's song.

'Elysian' won the affection of the public, corresponding with their applause for their good work and dedication, infecting them throughout the concert, giving them several encores, thus putting the finishing touch to a concert to repeat.

The Councilor for Culture of the Teguise City Council, Javier Díaz, and the Commissioner of the Casa-Museo, Benito Cabrera, and the Councilor for Social Welfare, Nereyda González, congratulated them on their magnificent performance, with the protocol photo the concert was concluded.

The next event will be on the 17th, 18th and 19th with the 'Timpleando Days', by the hand of the Canarian Timple Association, these days have been consolidated as an annual event in which master classes, talks, exhibitions and concerts by the most relevant performers, researchers and teachers of the timple are concentrated.
