La Murga Las Vacilonas has announced the definitive closure of its project after twelve years of history in the Lanzarote carnival. Their farewell has been accompanied by a gesture of solidarity, and they have donated the entire proceeds of the murga to four associations on the island.

One of the beneficiary associations, the SentirTE Association, has wanted to publicly express its deep gratitude towards this group. From the association, they describe this contribution as an act "that is born from the heart and leaves a legacy difficult to forget".

The entity recalls that the murga has been an essential part of the Carnival of Lanzarote, not only for its presence on stage, but for the family, creative, and human spirit that always characterized them.

In the words of Lucía Gómez: "We know that behind every parade float, every costume, and every song there was a group of women who gave their all. Today they say goodbye, but they leave us a precious lesson: even when it's time to close a chapter, it can be done by sowing affection and generosity."SentirTE emphasizes that this donation will contribute to continuing to support autistic individuals and their families, and will make it possible to continue projects that require constant resources

“For a small association like ours, which fights every day to reach more families, this support is an immense gift. Las Vacilonas have shown that carnival also transforms lives off the stage,” added the vice president.

The association wanted to express its gratitude to all the people who have been part of Las Vacilonas over these twelve years: members, management, collaborators, families, friends, seamstresses, musicians, and fans

“We wish that everything that comes next is as special as what you leave behind. Your story does not end: it remains in every person you helped, in every smile you brought about, and, now also, in every family we will be able to support thanks to them,” Lucía concluded
