The Conde Duque Theater in Madrid is hosting these days 'Children of Shakespeare', a montage created by the advanced students of the Estudio Corazza performing arts school in which Pedro Reyes from Lanzarote participates. Under the direction of Juan Carlos Corazza himself, Reyes joins this cast that also includes Ignacio Montes, Débora Izaguirre and Ana Rujas, among others.
The montage is part of the Teatro de la Reunión project, created three years ago by Estudio Corazza and the Conde Duque Cultural Center. This project addresses "a new way of making and seeing theater, opening to the public the possibility of entering the actors' work process, which Juan Carlos Corazza calls 'the kitchen'," as explained by Estudio Corazza. During the play, the public will have the opportunity to attend one more rehearsal, where the actors continue to investigate in front of the public.
In 'Children of Shakespeare', which can be seen until June 13, the actors delve into the skin of extremely complex characters and conflicts, from different perspectives. One of the peculiarities of the Teatro de la Reunión proposal is precisely to approach the same character with different interpreters, which allows us to appreciate different aspects and nuances in each scene and in each pass.
For his part, Pedro Reyes is very satisfied with the work done during six months of research. "Working with Juan Carlos Corazza and being accompanied by such wonderful colleagues as those I have had by my side is a luxury and a constant learning experience for any actor. It is being one of the most important experiences," he said.
The play 'Children of Shakespeare' opens the end of the season at Estudio Corazza. This montage will be followed by the proposal of the third regular training course, 'Character Struggle. Actor's Hope', which will be performed on June 19 and 20 at the same Conde Duque Theater. Open shows of the initiation courses (on June 23 and 24) and the intermediate course (on June 16, 17 and 18) will also be held in the theater's rehearsal rooms.
