The Governing Council, at the proposal of the Ministry of Ecological Transition, the Fight against Climate Change and Territorial Planning, has agreed to collaborate with 50,000 euros in the financing of a book in memory of the Canarian artist César Manrique.
This publication, promoted by the Cabildo of Lanzarote and which has about 600 pages, is titled "César Manrique. 100 years of living memory" and will serve to honor and review the life and work of this artist recognized nationally and internationally. The book is structured in two large-format volumes and will be presented in a stamped flask case, like the covers of each of the copies.
The Government of the Canary Islands has taken into consideration the importance of disseminating the works of César Manrique, such as the Jameos del Agua and its natural auditorium, the Casa del Campesino, the interior of the Mirador del Río and his own house, which would later become the Cesar Manrique Foundation.
