Lanzarote will repeat as the venue for the "Arrecife de las Músicas", which will be held in the Islote de Fermina during the days November 25 and 26 and that this year presents a poster with national and international artists such as Paola Morales and Sergio Alonso, Argentina, Mario Lucio and Paquito D'Rivera.
The festival will begin at 8:00 p.m. on Friday the 25th with the performance of Paola Morales and Sergio Alonso, who will offer "Moonlight Sonata", performed by Alonso, while the actress from Gran Canaria performs a soliloquy on texts by the Greek poet Yannis Ritsos.
After this performance, the singer Argentina, one of the greatest figures of flamenco and twice nominated for the Latin Grammy, will perform under the name of "Idilio".
The second day of the festival, Saturday the 26th, will begin at 8:00 p.m. with the concert of Mario Lucio, a figure of great relevance in Cape Verdean music. Immediately afterwards, Paquito D'Rivera, a reference of Latin jazz and winner of 14 Grammy awards, will perform accompanied by Rayko León on piano, Reinier Elizardo on bass, Michael Olivera on drums, Diego Urcola with the trombone and trumpet and José Carlos on percussion.
Invitations to attend the Arrecife de Las Músicas concerts are free and can be obtained from Monday of next week on the web cactlanzarote.com, until full capacity.
The Festival "Arrecife de Las Músicas" was born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in 2003, but this is already its second edition in Lanzarote, by the hand of the Tourist Centers and DD&Company Producciones.
The president of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, María Dolores Corujo, and the CEO of the Tourist Centers, Benjamín Perdomo, welcome "a Festival that offers its own unique proposal in such a particular setting as the Islote de la Fermina".
