The Classical Orchestra of Lanzarote, protagonist of the Classical Concert Cycle Arrecife 2024

The next performance of the orchestra will be on Thursday, March 14th at the Agustín de la Hoz House of Culture in Arrecife.

The Classical Orchestra of Lanzarote, continuing with the 'VIII Cycle of Classical Concerts Arrecife 2024', on Friday night held the second of the concerts at the Agustín de la Hoz House of Culture. On this occasion, the concert began with the introduction of the actress Gladys Blaguer, belonging to the Association of Writers of Lanzarote, who made a masterful staging of the work Romeo and Juliet, with which the attending public that completed the allowed capacity and rewarded her with applause.

Immediately afterwards, the first musical chords of the work composed by Sergei Prokofiev for ballet began to sound, a work of delicate virtuosity and musicality, to continue with works by Olazarán de Estella, Falla and Tchaikovsky and end with the Sonata op. 120 No. 2 in E flat major by Johannes Brahms. Three movements that make up the beautiful work of one of the most important composers of Romanticism.

The scenic space offered by the Agustín de la Hoz House of Culture managed to eliminate the distances between the artist and the public, turning them into "Intimate" concerts. The acoustics of the place allowed the spectator to enjoy the music and voice of sounds, which is only possible in spaces like these.

In this second concert offered by the Classical Orchestra of Lanzarote, the public was able to enjoy the performance of the Russian violinist, Natalia Tchitch. A perfectionist and tenacious woman, who gave her best, getting the public to reward her brilliant performance with resounding applause. Her constant concern and professional activity has led her to reside in several cities in Europe.

The international pianist and Basque researcher and professor Josu Okiñena, who has been dedicated to classical music for more than two decades, with the mastery that characterizes him, managed to make the piano and violin go hand in hand during the concert and sound as one, thus conquering the public who rewarded him with applause.

The next performance of the Classical Orchestra of Lanzarote will be on Thursday, March 14th with the 'String Quintet of the OCL', which will offer a repertoire with a selection of texts arranged chronologically and used in films such as 'Romeo and Juliet', 'A Midsummer Night's Dream', 'Don Quixote', 'Harry Potter', among others. The concert will take place at the Agustín de la Hoz House of Culture in Arrecife at 8:00 p.m.
