The Centers install a platform for people with reduced mobility in the Jameos auditorium

La plataforma para personas con movilidad reducida

The Centers of Art, Culture, and Tourism have installed a portable lifting platform to facilitate access to the first row of the auditorium seating at the Jameos del Agua Auditorium for People with Reduced Mobility (P.R.M.).

Specifically, it is a **vertical lifting platform with an anti-slip floor**, an immediate stop button, and safety barriers around the cabin. People with reduced mobility will be able to access the Auditorium using the elevator adjacent to the stage and occupy their seats in the front row of the stalls in a comfortable and completely safe manner thanks to this new portable infrastructure.

With this initiative, the Centers respond to a historic demand: "It is about providing solutions to a problem as complex as access to a volcanic tube that, moreover, enjoys special protection," assured the Councilor of the Entity, Ángel Vázquez. "In this case, with an installation that makes it possible to access the front row of this unique space autonomously, safely, and without external assistance."

This portable platform perfectly adapts to space constraints and makes it possible to access the front row of the stalls autonomously and safely, without the need for external assistance.

This action, as the Centers have defended, "is part of the commitment to inclusion and the continuous improvement of the experience for all visitors."

Almost a hundred People with Reduced Mobility enjoyed some event from the cultural programming of the Jameos del Agua Auditorium throughout 2024.
