The Lanzarote Council has put out to tender the Cine Juventud Lanzarote project, which aims to screen films with social content, followed by a subsequent debate to encourage reflection and raise awareness on different topics for an amount of 61,926.90 euros.

The Councilor for Youth of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Aroa Revelo, highlights that "this project seeks to raise awareness among the young population about the difficulties faced by different groups." "From the Cabildo we believe that making these difficulties visible should be the starting point to be able to act on them in providing solutions," she says.

The project contemplates the broadcast of 24 feature films on topics of interest to the youth of the island, such as democratic coexistence, health, environment, migration, entrepreneurship, LGTBI rights, gender equality and cultural diversity, among others. The screenings, and the subsequent debates, will be held on a monthly basis during the two years of the contract.

Companies and entities interested in submitting their bidding proposals can do so through the official website of the State Contracting Platform until November 16, 2023 at 10:00 am.
