The Cabildo deploys taxis and buses to leave the car aside during the Caleta de Famara festivities

Vehicle accumulation in Famara

The Island Council authorizes special bus and taxi services for the Famara festivities to avoid the excessive use of private vehicles. These two options will be available during the next weekend, between Friday, September 1 and 3.

On Friday, September 1:

  • Reinforcement line 20 will be available, in the outbound schedule (Arrecife-Soo-Caleta de Famara) the trip at 8:45 p.m. will be reinforced.
  • Line 28 (special service): outbound schedule (Arrecife-Teguise-Caleta de Famara) 8:00 p.m., 9:00 p.m., 10:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.

On Saturday, September 2:

  • Line 28 (special service). Return schedule (Caleta de Famara-Teguise-Arrecife) 3:30 a.m., 4:30 a.m. and 5:30 a.m.
  • Line 28 (special service): Outbound schedule (Arrecife-Teguise-Caleta de Famara): 12:00 p.m., 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.
  • Line 28 (special service): Return schedule (Caleta de Famara-Teguise-Arrecife) 10:30 p.m. If necessary, the same bus may make another trip in the Caleta de Famara-Teguise-Arrecife direction.

Next Sunday, September 3:

  • Line 28 (special service) Arrecife-Teguise-Caleta de Famara schedule, 12:00 p.m., 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.
  • Line 28 (special service). Return schedule (Caleta de Famara-Teguise-Arrecife) 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

The outbound route of line 28 will be from Arrecife to Caleta de Famara, making the following stops: Arrecife bus station platforms - Opposite bus station - Altavista - Tahíche Bajo - César Manrique intersection - Tahíche Alto - Tahíche - Las Cabreras - Nazaret - Teguise Health Center - Caleta de Famara.

The return route of line 28 from Caleta de Famara to Arrecife will make the following stops: Caleta de Famara - Teguise Health Center - Nazaret - Las Cabreras - Tahíche - César Manrique intersection - Tahíche Bajo - El Jamonal - Altavista, Arrecife Bus Station Platforms.

The rate will be the one corresponding to the application of the current rate for this line.

Likewise, the Teguise City Council has reported the approval by the Lanzarote Island Council of the implementation, on an exceptional basis, of a joint taxi service area in the town of Famara due to the celebration of its festivities.

Thus, the schedule established for the development of this measure is:

  • Saturday, September 2, with hours from 3:30 a.m. to 6:00 a.m.
  • Sunday, September 3, from 10:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.; as well as Sunday, September 3, in the hours of 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m..
