The 'Arrecife Summer Fest 2023' will arrive in Lanzarote this Friday, August 4 at Playa del Reducto. The first edition of a festival, in which all Arrecife residents can enjoy an afternoon of fun, music and spectacle.
A musical event that will last from six in the afternoon until twelve at night, in which several DJs who make up the lineup will play: Abian Reyes, Javi Fajardo, Ángel Pérez, Ale Ossorio and Luca de Tena, in addition to the performance of several dance schools and many other surprises, according to the Councilor for Tourism, Eli Merino, during the press conference held this Monday on the Arrecife beach.
The objective is to "offer all young people healthy outdoor leisure". In addition, Merino explains, "now that the summer festivals of the towns are being celebrated, we want to welcome the summer and attract Lanzarote residents to come to the capital," she points out. A "worthy" opportunity "to meet friends, also for university students who come on vacation and reunite, etc." and thus promote the "support for restaurants and businesses to revitalize the area", she adds.
"We hope that the festival will be well received," she says. For this, "we have started with average expectations, since it is the first event," she says. "We are already working for next year, to raise the level of the festival much more", she tells La Voz. With a small preview of what this event will be in the summer of 2024, "next year is going to be great", she reveals.
Among the different surprises that the festival will bring, the councilor gives us a small preview: "There will be a makeup artist to give glitter to the attendees, possibly a hairdresser who will do braids and even fireworks."
"We have chosen Playa del Reducto, as it is a key area," she acknowledges. The festival will also have a "purple point and an area for people with reduced mobility, key elements to make it a safe event", the councilor points out.
In addition, the press conference was also attended by the mayor Yonathan de León and the councilor for beaches, Óscar López. De León added that in that area "it is the first initiative of this government group", with a clear purpose "to boost the leisure, hospitality and restaurant area", he asserts.
An original and fun presentation, with a DJ included, in which even the mayor started playing one of the songs together with the 'disc jockey' Ale Ossorio, who enlivened the meeting with his music.
