The Adult Murga Contest of the Arrecife Carnival 2026 already has its running order after the draw held during the charity gala that took place this Saturday in the vicinity of the Manejey Sociocultural Center, which required the donation of at least one kilo of non-perishable food as admission, with the collected food finally amounting to almost 1,000 kilos.
Inadaptadas, Desahuciados, Enraladas, Simplones, and Intoxicados will be the order of appearance in the aforementioned contest, which will be held in February in two phases. The first on Tuesday the 10th, in which the groups will **perform two songs each**. And the second on Friday the 13th, in which they will repeat one of those two songs and also perform a new one.Likewise, during the celebration of this solidarity gala, at which the Afilarmónica Tabletúos also performed, the order of appearance for the 2026 Arrecife Carnival Children's Murga Contest was also drawn, which resulted in the following order: Intoxicaditos, Chau Chau, Titiñecos, and Noveleros
The deputy mayor and councilor for Festivals of Arrecife, Echedey Eugenio, highlights "the great atmosphere experienced this Saturday in Maneje" as well as "the enormous solidarity of the carnival family" that collected almost a ton of food during said charity gala, which will be delivered to Cáritas for distribution among the neediest families on the island.
