Tenique Cultural invites an internationally renowned researcher to Lanzarote to digitize old films from the island

52 rolls of Ventura Acuña's home movies will be digitized, announces the Tenique Cultural association

Salvi Vivancos, one of the research team members invited to the event

The Tenique Cultural Association continues its work of recovering and preserving amateur audiovisual material from Lanzarote. Therefore, Salvi Vivancos, one of the members of its research team along with Dailo Barco, will be on the island to begin the digitization of a significant amount of old cinematographic materials.

Between June 12 and 17, this researcher will be at El Almacén digitizing 52 rolls of home movies by Ventura Acuña and other private collections. A material that has never been seen in public and in which part of the island's memory is kept.

The president of the Tenique Cultural Association, Javier Fuentes Feo, has stressed the importance of "having Salvi Vivancos as part of the team", since "he is a great expert in domestic cinema". "Thanks to his collaboration with Tenique Cultural, we are recovering a relevant part of Lanzarote's audiovisual memory," he adds.

In this sense, according to Fuentes, "it is very important that anyone who has recordings in their homes contact Tenique Cultural so that we can digitize them."
