As part of its Lanzarote and Peasant Culture program, the Torrelavega Society once again pleasantly surprised its members and supporters with an unforgettable musical evening. Last Thursday night at 8:00 p.m., the stage was filled with emotion during the Íntimo concert, starring the renowned singer from Tenerife, Besay Pérez, accompanied by the talented pianist and great professional, Diego Expósito.

From the first chord, both artists shone with their own light, managing to win over the numerous audience that completely filled the permitted capacity. The artistic proposal presented by Besay and Diego was, without a doubt, a delicately powerful bridge between tradition and modernity. They masterfully performed great hits from yesterday, today, and always, in versions that moved the audience, who did not hesitate to join this musical journey with their voices.

Besay, possessing an impressive vocal range, surprised by performing some songs without using a microphone, filling the room with the natural power of his voice. He felt so comfortable and at ease that on more than one occasion he descended from the stage to stroll among the attendees, sharing glances, smiles, and songs, demonstrating once again that he is an artist with a simple, accessible, and deeply human heart.

For almost two hours, Besay not only sang, he laid himself bare, sharing anecdotes with the audience from some of his concerts, thus creating an atmosphere of complicity and closeness that went beyond the purely musical.

And when the moment of farewell arrived, the audience, devoted and moved, asked for more. In a display of complicity and generosity, Besay and Diego offered several encores, being bid farewell standing, as the greats of music are bidden farewell.

The president of Sociedad Torrelavega, Toñin Ramos, along with his Board of Directors, publicly congratulated both artists on the resounding success of the concert and for their valuable collaboration, which meant that "Íntimo" not only met, but far exceeded the planned objectives of a magical night, of those that are kept in the memory and in the heart.
