The painter Rufina Santana presented the catalog corresponding to her exhibition "Mercury" at the El Almacén Cultural Innovation Center. A work that collects in great detail all the paintings exhibited, as well as extensive information from the beginnings to the present day of the works carried out by the painter. An event that was attended by the Minister of Culture, Óscar Pérez.

José Ramón Betancort, technician in the area of culture of the Lanzarote council, was in charge of presenting the act. For Betancort, "Mercury is a novel exhibition proposal within the professional career of the painter since it shows, for the first time, an extensive series of male nudes made by the artist throughout her prolific career." On this occasion, the mythological figure of Mercury is the protagonist or guiding thread of this artistic work.

The curator of the exhibition, Estefanía Camejo, also spoke, explaining that the exhibition "is not a series of paintings and drawings of nudes understood as nude, but as a set of works created with an intention closer to the practice of drawing anatomies, the exercise of style and reflection on the artist's own creative process, than the nude as an artistic genre."

Once the interventions were finished, Rufina Santana made herself available to the public, answering the battery of questions that were asked. Finally, each of those present was given a catalog and Rufina signed each copy to everyone who requested it "as a sign of gratitude for the support and interest they gave her."

The exhibition will be until the 29th of this month of April.
