The Department of Culture of the Arrecife City Council, led by Abigail González, has once again proposed creative sewing workshops in its program for the month of April. According to the press release issued by the council, this decision is made "after the successful reception and participation" of previous editions.
On this occasion, the workshops, which will once again be taught by the artisan Guaya Camacho (Nubecitas de Ilusión), will take place on April 15 and 17 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the San Francisco Javier sociocultural center, and on the 22nd and 24th of the same month and at the same time at the Argana Baja Sociocultural Center, and are entitled Decorate your frame.
Also in the month of April, the sociocultural centers of Titerroy (days 16 and 18) and Los Alonso (days 23 and 25) will host a wire wrapping workshop, which will be taught by the designer and creator of fine jewelry and jewelry, María del Mar González.
Both themes are aimed at people over 16 years of age, include free material and have a limited number of places available, which will be filled in strict order of registration.
The deadline for the same will open on April 1. Those interested can do so by calling 928 812750 (ext. 1506 and 1704) and 618 710854.
“Dynamizing the sociocultural centers to bring events and activities to all the neighborhoods of Arrecife is one of the objectives that we have set for ourselves in the Department of Culture and we are doing so. We want these spaces, which are important meeting points for our neighbors, to have a program aimed at the whole family,” said Abigail González.
